Transactions – Internal Job

You use the Internal Job option to create and maintain internal jobs in Micronet. These are jobs created for overhead work that is not charged to customers, for example:

• research and development work performed by your staff
• estimating and tender preparation
• cleaning
• internal repairs and maintenance
• any non-productive or company overhead type time, e.g. training
• warranty work that needs to be tracked and provided to customers through a warranty or project retention period
• where you want to have several smaller jobs posting to one very large project that is setup with its own General Ledger (GL) department.

When you create internal jobs, the combined costs (Work In Progress – WIP) for raw materials and labour can be transferred directly to MGL via a GL interface record (for more information, refer to "Setting up and Configuring MJC").

Technical Tip If you want to interface your internal jobs with Fleetrack, you need to setup up a debtor called “Internal” in the Debtor master file. For more information, refer to "File - Debtor" and to "Internal Job Entry - File - Save Paperless".
